WEAVINGS

Incorporating traditional weaving techniques and patterns to create contemporary wall hangings, Susan uses a computerized 16 harness dobby loom to weave lightweight pieces that seem to float on the wall The pieces are complementary to both residential and commercial spaces. Anodized aluminum wire will not tarnish or change color. Widths range from 2 inches to 24 inches and can be as long as 40 feet. The pieces are easy to install and maintain.

KIMONOS

The kimonos are created from bronze or stainless steel screening then embellished with scraps of wire from the weavings, electronic odds and ends, and a variety of found treasures. Measuring 12 inches by 12 inches to almost life size, the pieces have a look and feel of previous centuries even though they use late 20th century recycled materials.

ORNAMENTS

To avoid throwing away the wonderful multitude of odds and ends of wire that collected in her studio, Susan conceived the idea to make ornaments to recycle these materials. Although the ornaments have a similar look, no two are exactly alike because each is individually assembled from the ingredients at hand.
